Strawberry Cheesecake Milkshake (Sugar Free and High in Protein)

I know I just said that it was too cold out for smoothies, but this recipe is so good that I don’t care how cold it is.
When eating a cleaner diet it can be hard sometimes when those around you don’t. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to eat the same foods they do and not feel left out!? Well, you can! When everyone wants to get a milkshake (which by the way is usually filled with so much sugar and junk- yuck!) you can make this creamy, thick, delicious strawberry cheesecake shake and you won’t feel left out a bit. If anything I bet if you offered your friends to try it, they would be shocked at how good it is and dump their sugar laden milkshake in the trash for some of your awesome shake.
This recipe takes seconds to make and like I said, is amazing!

Strawberry Cheesecake Milkshake

3/4 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup water
1 scoop or 30 grams of vanilla whey protein powder*
1 tsp cashew butter*
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp lemon juice

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend till smooth.
*If you do not have protein powder, though I do recommend getting some, you can use greek yogurt or cottage cheese instead. Start with a few tablespoons. You may need to add some sweeter like stevia or honey though as most protein powders already are sweetened a bit.
You can order cashew butter online or look for it in any health food store. It adds the healthy fats as well as that cheese flavor. If you can’t find it you can put in a few whole cashews but blend longer till smooth. You can also add in some low fat cream cheese instead, but I haven’t tried it.

I really hope you give this a try. It is so creamy and rich and we can’t get enough of it here. You feel so guilty drinking it yet it is so good for you.
This is a perfect drink to have post workout or anytime.
